ÖSD examinations

The ÖSD is a state-approved examination and assessment system for German as a Foreign Language, which correspond to the levels of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. These exams:

  • provide an extra qualification to prove your language skills
  • enhance your CV
  • give you access to grants from the DAAD (German academic exchange service) and the OEAD (Austrian exchange service)
  • offer you the opportunity to study at German-speaking universities.

The Language Centre is an official examination centre of the ÖSD.

 
 

The examinations

The Language Centre offers you the opportunity to take these exams at the University of Nottingham. The exam consists of four parts:

  • writing
  • listening
  • reading 
  • speaking

The date for the next exam will be May 2018.

Cost and Registration

The price for the exam (as of May 2017), includes:

  • A1: £60
  • A2: £60
  • B1: £85 (held in cooperation with the Goethe exam)
  • B2: £90

Registration deadline April 2018.
