Inter Faculty Modules
The Language Centre provides teaching in free-standing inter-faculty modules of Arabic, French, German, Greek, Italian, Japanese, Mardarin Chinese, Portuguese and Spanish, all from beginners' level. The finishing level varies from Stage 2 to Stage 6 which aims for near-native competence. Students on these modules are mainly undergraduates from all Schools within the University, although we also have postgraduates and members of staff.

We focus on providing language training with the emphasis on communication which, at the higher stages, will support the professional person working in a bilingual context, incorporating a number of transferable skills much sought after by potential employers.
Arabic
All modules must be studied for credits, otherwise if space is available within a teaching group a payment of £130 (which includes assessment) per semester must be made in order to attend the course of your choice.
