New book published entitled Security and International Law, edited by School of Law staff

Professor Mary Footer and Professor Nigel White (Co-Directors of NILSC - the Nottingham International Law and Security Centre) are two of the co-editors (along with Julia Schmidt, Exeter University, formerly Research Fellow in NILSC; and Lydia Davies-Bright, PhD researcher in NILSC ) of a book published by Bloomsbury (Hart) this week, entitled Security and International Law.

The book consists of 14 chapters on the evolving relationship between international law and human, political, military, regional, socio-economic, environmental and energy security. Topics also include terrorism, piracy, the security of the polar regions, cyber-threats and the development of new technologies. The book arose out a very successful International Law Association British Branch Spring Conference in 2012.
