Professor Paul Torremans shares expertise with the Chairman and Officials of the Copyright Office of the Republic of Azerbaijan

Professor Paul Torremans, Professor of Intellectual Property, University of Nottingham was invited to Baku to participate in a European Twinning Project that aims to provide assistance to the Copyright Office of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

From 15 – 22 January 2012 he advised the Chairman and the Officials of the Office on the compatibility of their legislation and proposed legislation in the area of copyright.  He also advised on the enforcement of intellectual property rights with the relevant international conventions and with EU law.

During his visit he also delivered a number of seminars.
