Gender, Crime and Criminal Justice
This module aims to provide students with a critical introduction to the concepts of gender, sex and discrimination, and to apply them to the field of criminology and criminal justice.
It will provide students with knowledge of research evidence examining how patterns of crime, victimization, policing and the administration of justice and imprisonment vary according to gender, and to understand the range of explanations for this along with an opportunity to apply this concrete knowledge to problems of research, policy and practice.
