Public international law is primarily concerned with those customary and treaty rules governing relations between states, although it has increasing significance for the individual as evidenced by the rapid development of international human rights law.
This module will give candidates a thorough grounding in the general principles of public international law and is a mandatory module for candidates who have not studied public international law before and who wish to take any one of a number of specialist international law courses on the programme. Students who hold an offer for one of the Schools LLM programmes will be supplied with full details with their Induction Materials in August.
