LLM Environmental Law

Class of 2008/09

I was a practicing lawyer and worked for the environmental NGO “Environment-People-Law” before embarking on my postgraduate studies at Nottingham.

I chose Nottingham for many reasons, its academic records, the relevance of the subjects that are offered for LLM students, the activeness of professors in environmental law research and number of their publications, and the overall rating of the School of Law.

The course offered me very good composition of topics through a variety of environmental law and international public law modules. I enjoyed the focus on international rather than UK law, the interesting reading and lots of discussions during classes which were led by very good professors.

I am now working with “Environment-People-Law” in Ukraine again and in addition I have started two courses at the university Law school entitled:  International Environmental Law and The European Convention on Human Rights. Both are delivered in English for master law students. One of the courses is based on my LLM course, thus all the books, articles and papers we studied in Nottingham are very helpful now.
