Current Research

My research interests include the impact of adverse early-life events and drugs of abuse on behaviour and brain neurochemistry, and evaluation of potential novel treatments for neurodevelopmental disorders like schizophrenia and autism. This research utilises a broad range of techniques, including behavioural analysis, radiotelemetry, microdialysis, MRI, enzyme-based glutamate microsensors, immunohistochemistry, Western blots, protein microarray and HPLC-ED.

Future Research

PhD position available to start October 2018 through the BBSRC DTP scheme. This project will investigate the role of oxytocin as an adjunctive and preventative treatment for schizophrenia.
