Research Summary

Mathematical modelling of biological and industrial problems using a combination of numerical and asymptotic methods.

Recent Publications

Co-supervisor for Mathematical Medicine and Biology MSc projects (2016 - 2017): Projects on moving-boundary problems that arise in the mathematical modelling of tumour growth and drug delivery. Co-supervised with Prof. JR King.

Graduate modelling week mentor (2016): Group mentor for six graduate students. Took place at the Mathematical Institute, University of Oxford.

College tutor (2011 - 2014): Taught Differential Equations (St Anne's College 2012), Differential Equations II (Mansfield College 2014), Waves and Fluids (Mansfield College 2014), Geometry II (Lincoln College 2011), Calculus of Variations (Lincoln College 2012-2013).

Lectureship in Applied Mathematics (2011 - 2013): Taught the second year applied mathematics syllabus for two years at Lady Margaret Hall, University of Oxford. Included the subjects Differential Equations, Fluid Dynamics and Waves, Calculus of Variations, and Classical Mechanics.

Teaching assistant (2010 - 2011): Marked work and taught classes on Viscous Flow (3rd year) and Applied Complex Variables (4th year).
