The School of Life Sciences is a vibrant, forward-looking research outfit that provides the main focus for biological and biomedical research at the University of Nottingham. Members of the School occupy top-quality research laboratories with state-of-the-art core facilities within the QMC, the Life Sciences building and the new Centre for Biomolecular Sciences (CBS) on the main University Park campus. Our research covers all areas of contemporary biology and biomedicine from Neurobiology to Microbiology, from Ecology to Physiology and Pharmacology and from Immunology to Genetics. Our approach, based on individual research excellence, multidisciplinarity and international collaboration, has been highly successful, delivering numerous research achievements, some of which are described on accompanying pages.
