  • Arts Council England: Midlands Arts Council England champions, develops and invests in artistic and cultural experiences that enrich people's lives.  It supports a range of activities across the arts, museums and libraries.
  • East Midlands Oral History Archive (EMOHA) This is a partnership between the Centre for Urban History at the University of Leicester, the Record Office for Leicestershire, Leicester and Rutland and Leicester City Museums and Library Services. Its aim is to retrieve and make accessible on line as many of the existing oral history recordings as possible, to run its own programme of interviews and to provide support to anyone developing their own oral history projects.
  • Media Archive for Central England (MACE), based at The University of Leicester, aims to collect and preserve the moving image heritage of the English Midlands, East and West, and to make it available to the widest possible audience across the region.
  • Picture the Past : North East Midland Photographic Record aims to conserve and make the photographic heritage of the North East Midlands publicly accessible, thus enabling people to see the richness and diversity of the area's photographic collections.

  • COPAC : Consortium of University Research Libraries Online Public Access Catalogue COPAC is a database which provides access to the online catalogues of a number of university research libraries in the UK and Ireland.
  • British Library: Related Internet Resources for Early Printed Collections : This site includes links to many major printed-book collections worldwide, as well as listings of relevant bibliographical societies and useful library history sites.
  • Library of Congress
  • Special collections web resources: Maintained by the American Library Association, this site includes lists of associations and organisations, electronic discussion groups, newsletters and special collections on the Web.
  • OCLC (Online Computer Library Center) is a co-operative organization for library services, based in the United States. OCLC and its member libraries produce WorldCat, a union online catalogue containing records from university, public, national and private libraries worldwide
  • Library Association Rare Books Group A special interest group of the Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals, promoting the importance of rare books and special collections, and providing a focal point within the profession for the purposes of liaison and education.
