Access to Archives (A2A)
A2A is an English national resource, hosted by The National Archives. It includes finding aids for archives held in record offices, libraries, universities and other institutions throughout the country. It enables users to search and browse descriptions of collections. You can make your search more or less general by specifying a particular area of the country, or a repository holding the records.
The University of Nottingham contributed to A2A in three stages (2001-2002, 2002-2003 and 2004). In each case, the University joined with other repositories in the East Midlands region and worked on a common theme, such as family and estate collections.
Catalogues for the following collections from the University’s manuscripts can now be accessed through the A2A website and searched alongside all other records within A2A. The records are also now available through our own Manuscripts Online Catalogue:
