Lawrence Printed Collection

The D H Lawrence printed collection is one of several named Special (Printed Books) Collections held by Manuscripts and Special Collections and complements its rich Lawrence manuscript holdings.

It includes approximately 2,000 items, providing comprehensive coverage of Lawrence's published works across all literary genres and through all significant editions. The bibliographical interest of the holdings has been greatly enhanced as a result of the recent acquisitions. Lawrence's publications in journals and periodicals are fully represented in the collection.

In addition to the works, the collection includes extensive secondary material (biographies, critical works, bibliographies and catalogues). In recent years the remit of the collection has been broadened to incorporate material about the Lawrence circle and Lawrence's continuing literary influence.

The catalogue of the D H Lawrence printed collection can be browsed/searched as a discrete set of records using NUsearch.
