Description

Following on from a workshop in 2013 held in Nottingham, a mini-symposium on 'Fibre-reinforced materials: theory and applications' is being held in France, and is organised by Dr Kostas Soldatos together with Professor Ray Ogden from the University of Glasgow.

The mini-symposium is part of the Emerging Trends in Applied Mathematics and Mechanics (ETAMM) 2016 conference, and will focus on new developments in theoretical, computational and experimental aspects of fibre-reinforced materials research.

Fibre-reinforced materials research examines the behaviour and structure of rubber-like materials, polymers reinforced by fibres and more recently, fibrous biological matter.
