Postgraduate students in Mathematical Physics are organising a conference for other students around the UK to discuss the various theoretical and mathematical strands of Quantum Mechanics, focused around Nottingham's three key areas of Quantum Gravity, Quantum Information and Quantum Disordered Systems.
The conference aims to help make links between the strands and offer students the chance for students to form collaborations with others working in different but related areas; it also offers students a chance to present their work and develop their communication skills, which is not always possible at senior events.
The conference is funded primarily by a Postgraduate Research Conference Grant from the London Mathematical Society, with additional support provided by the COST action "Fundamental Problems in Quantum Physics", from the Institute of Mathematics and its Applications, and from the Mathematical and Theoretical Physics group of the Institute of Physics.
If you are interested in attending the conference, please use the online form - a confirmation email will be sent to sent to you once complete. Full details of the conference, including the programme of events, are on the main event website.
