Free Boundary Problems in Fluid Mechanics

A conference focussing on the mathematics of free-boundary problems in viscous fluid mechanics (in particular Hele-Shaw and Stokes flows) and on related mathematical techniques is being held from 8 to 11 January 2012 at the School of Mathemtical Sciences, University of Nottingham.

The conference will seek to promote cross-fertilisation between different approaches and to honour the influential contributions of the late Dr Stan Richardson.

Specific funds are available to encourage participation of postgraduate research students.
