Tuition fees

A full schedule of fees can be viewed on our tuition fees information page.

Information on how to pay tuition fees can be found in the universities financial pages.

Please note that these costs cover academic tuition fees only. The additional cost of maintenance is the responsibility of the student or the sponsoring agency. As a general guide £7,500 for each year of study is sufficient to cover the cost of accommodation and maintenance for the duration of the course. It is important to take this into account when approaching potential sponsors.

For a comprehensive guide to other maintenance costs that you are likely to encounter while at university take a look at the Undergraduate online prospectus financial pages.

Scholarships and bursaries for Home students

To support full-time home students, the university offers one of the most generous bursary schemes in the country, and it is estimated that 30% of full-time UK students joining us will be eligible to benefit from our bursary scheme.

Scholarships for international students

International Orientation Scholarship

The International Orientation Scholarship is awarded to the best international (full-time, non EU) applicants to the School's courses. The scholarship is awarded in subsequent years to students who perform well academically (at the level of a 2:1 Hons degree or better at the first attempt).

The scholarship value is £2,000 for students on single honours mathematics courses (G100, G103, G104, G120).

Students on joint honours courses (Mathematics and Economics GL11 and Mathematics and Management GN12) in the School of Mathematical Sciences receive £1,000.

Please note that the scholarship will be paid once for each year of study, so if you repeat a year for any reason, the scholarship will not be paid for that repeated year.

The scholarship will be paid by cheque in December each year, provided you have registered with the university and the school, are on a relevant course on the 1 December census and have paid the first instalment of your fee.

You might also be eligible for one of the many scholarships managed by the International Office.
