May Fest 2013 programme
Getting to May Fest
University of Nottingham graduate?
Handy May Fest itineraries
Parking was free of charge for May Fest. We recommended visitors try and use the car park closest to the Portland Building, which is the Main Visitor Car Park, and the Biology car park.
The locations of these car parks and others open on the day could be found on this map.
There were a number of activites taking place across University Park. Use this handy index to view at a glance which activities were in which buildings and our itineraries and timetables which were created to help.
If assistance was needed on campus on the day, visitors were encouraged to look out for our helpful volunteers in the green t-shirts. They were on hand to help with anything from finding a car park, to giving directions or even recommending somewhere to eat.
First aid points were in room B37 in Portland Building, at Lakeside Arts Centre and at the Fitness Centre and Swimming Pool.
Lost property was managed in room B37 within Portland Building on the day. If you think you lost something at May Fest, please email us.
A free bus service ran every 30 minutes on the day from near the Portland Building. Visitors could just hop on for a campus tour or to get to a venue (no tickets were required).
If specific assistance was needed on the day visitors were asked to let us know beforehand by emailing us at firstname.lastname@example.org. An accessibility bus was also available on the day.
Various food outlets selling hot and cold food and drinks were open, with high chairs available for little ones. Visitors were also welcome to bring a picnic and enjoy the grounds... and the Great British weather!
University of Nottingham alumni could register to attend a free lunch from 12pm-2pm at The Hemsley Restaurant on University Park campus during May Fest 2013. Alumni could bring up to three of their guests along to lunch.
