Dr Jafar Mahdavi ---BSc, PhD

Scientist

After graduation in Biomedicine at Umeå University, I did a Ph.D (between 1999-2004) on patho-adaptation of Helicobacter pylori, under the supervision of Professor Thomas Borén, Dept. of Odontology, Faculty of Medicine, Umeå University, Sweden. I then moved to Nottingham and joined MBIG in September 2005. My previous work on Helicobacter pylori led to the identification of the adhesin SabA and its host legend, sLex/a antigen.
