Course Dates
The two-day Nottingham Medical School TIPS course has now been running
for twelve years and has trained over 950 members of academic and NHS
staff in basic teaching skills. The course is consistently highly rated
by participants and makes a significant contribution towards improving
teaching quality in the Medical School and teaching hospitals.
For Health professionals based and working within the Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust catchment areas, on bookings taken from 1st February 2012, the TIPS Course fee is £250.
For all other Health professionals, for bookings taken from 1st February 2012, the TIPS Course fee is £300.
Places (12 per course) are now available for courses
in 2012.

- The course is available to all teaching staff in the Faculty of Medicine
and Health Sciences and all NHS staff involved in teaching Nottingham
undergraduates.
- The course starts at 9 am and finishes at 4.30 pm each day (see Course
Schedule).
- Tea and coffee are provided.
- Participants make two 10-minute presentation (see Preparation).
- Individual and group teaching feedback is provided.
- 15 CME points can be claimed.
- Course handouts provided.
