About the School of Medicine

The School of Medicine is the largest school in the university. It covers a wide range of medical and surgical disciplines. We provide education for undergraduates and postgraduates and engage in world-leading research.

Our mission is to improve people's health and wellbeing by outstanding education and research.

We strive for excellence in all we do. We assume a leadership role in issues of importance to the communities of Nottingham, the UK, and across the globe. We aim to meet the needs of our staff, students, and partners, building on our founding principal of collaboration.

History of the School of Medicine

The Medical School was established in 1964 and admitted its first students in 1970.
