Biography

I am a clinical specialty trainee in respiratory medicine with an interest in basic science research. I progressed through the NIHR Clinical Academic Training Programme, holding Academic Foundation and Academic Clinical Fellow posts. I was awarded a Clinical Research Training Fellowship by the MRC in 2016, and am now studying for a PhD.

My research interest is in the pathophysiology of pulmonary fibrosis. My current project aims to understand the mechanisms by which fibroblasts and myofibroblasts sense mechanical stimuli, such as stretch and surrounding matrix stiffness, and how these impact on fibrogenesis.
