Ralph Kwame Akyea

Dr Ralph K. Akyea studied for his undergraduate degree in Medicine at University of Ghana, before undertaking postgraduate training in Public Health (MPH) with the University of Nottingham. He was appointed Research Associate at the University of Nottingham in 2016.
Current main area of research is Chronic Pulmonary Obstructive Disease. Investigating the fracture risk and osteoporosis in patients with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD).
Determining the extent and nature of New Psychoactive Substance (aka 'legal' highs) use among young adults - the characteristics and perceived risk of NPS users.
