Research Summary

Research Fellow within the Arthritis Research UK Centre for Sport, Exercise and Osteoarthritis.

Nottingham Principle Investigator and study co-ordinator for the Significant Ankle Ligament Injury (SALI) Cohort study. The SALI study is a longitudinal prospective cohort study that aims to determine risk factors for incomplete recovery following a significant ankle ligament injury and for the development of osteoarthritis. We are recruiting ankle injury patients from four sites across the UK: Queen's Medical Centre, Nottingham, Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh, Leeds General Infirmary and St James Hospital Leeds.

Past Research

PhD student and Research Associate in the Arthritis Research UK Pain Centre, Nottingham. My thesis examined structural associations of pain in the osteoarthritic human knee joint. It describes a key role for synovial inflammation in mediating an association with symptomatic osteoarthritis.
