Nottingham graduate shortlisted for Medical Student of the Year in RCPsych Awards

Dan Townley, one of our graduates this year, has been shortlisted for Medical student of the Year by the Royal College of Psychiatrists (RCPsych). He is one of three on the shortlist.

He said: "I am delighted to be shortlisted for such a prestigious prize and to be representing Nottingham medical school."

Dan completed the graduate entry medicine course this year and is now on the foundation programme working in cardiology in Harrogate Hospital.

The RCPsych Awards mark the highest level of achievement in psychiatry. The Awards for 2017 have 17 categories, including Awards for psychiatrists of all grades, as well as for medical students, foundation doctors, and awards to recognise the work being done by teams working in mental health care.

Winners will be announced at the RCPsych ceremony on 6 November 2017.
