Primary Care PhD Successes

 

The Division of Primary Care is delighted to announce that Kieran Ayling, Jaspal Taggar and Laura Bedford have all recently passed their PhD viva examinations, with only minor corrections required.  

The topics of their theses are:

  • Kieran Ayling:  Psycho-behavioural Influences on Vaccination Outcomes: Towards a Brief, Non-pharmacological Primary Care Intervention. Supervised by Professor Kavita Vedhara, Dr Lucy Fairclough, Professor Jon Garibaldi, Dr Paddy Tighe and Dr Ian Todd.
  • Dr Jaspal Taggar: Screening for atrial fibrillation in primary care. Supervised by Professor Tim Coleman and Professor Sarah Lewis.
  • Laura Bedford: The emotional impact of screening for lung cancer. Supervised by Professor Kavita Vedhara and Professor Denise Kendrick.
