Expertise Summary

My current role involves project management and health informatics support for key PRIMIS projects with high profile national organisations such as the UK Health Security Agency, NHS England and a national provider of a prescribing support system.

I provide advice on the availability and accessibility of data within primary care and I manage and maintain highly complex data specifications by liaising closely with PRIMIS Clinical Advisers to ensure that the clinical code groups and logical business rules referenced within data specifications are produced and are accurate and relevant in order to support customers' primary care data extraction, reporting and messaging activities. I also support PRIMIS commercial activities by identifying, negotiating, and securing new business for the organisation. My previous roles at PRIMIS have involved supporting academic study teams on the design of research studies involving the use of data from primary care, working with specific localities across England in order to determine the most appropriate extraction and reporting solution for their needs and multiple training development and delivery roles (both face to face on online). PRIMIS is a specialist team of health informaticians within the School of Medicine. We provide expert advice on the intelligent use of primary care data to the NHS, academics, and industry partners. Our work is not just about data, however. Our tools and training programmes support behavioural change in general practice, often involving the widespread scale and adoption of healthcare innovations.
