  • Digitally equalizing the level and frequency response of earphones, headphones and loudspeakers.
  • A system for controlling the acoustic signal processing used in physiological experiments.
  • A system for controlling auditory signal generation, monitoring behavioral responses and delivering rewards in auditory behavioral experiments.
  • A system for recording brain responses to auditory stimuli in freely moving animals.
  • A system for testing auditory response (STAR) in children.

Industrial development projects:

  • Ultra high frequency (500-1500MHz) partial discharge amplifier, £35,000 funded by EA Technology Ltd.
  • Wireless temperature monitoring system for vehicle refrigerators, £85,162 funded by DTI and Cold Chain Instruments Ltd.

  • Vulnerability of wireless technologies to impulsive noise in electricity transmission substations, £198,883 funded by EPSRC.
