"My career motive is to combat cancer. MSc Cancer Immunology and Biotechnology is a very unique subject that attracted me to the University of Nottingham.

I would advise all other Nottingham students to 'just be yourself and follow your instinct'. People are very helpful here and so, you will definitely find your own way."

"The CIB course was extremely useful, building on my undergraduate degree to make me feel like a competent scientist, ready for work in the industry, or future study. It started off providing an introduction to immunology and oncology, quickly progressing to advanced ideas and the latest science in the fields. The real selling point of the course is that it’s one of few courses in the extremely hot field of Cancer Immunotherapy, an exciting area which is catching a lot of interest in both industry and academia.

The course also provides modules in statistics, and a “business development” module, both of which are useful in honing key skills. The lab placement for me was the highlight of the course, I worked for 5 months in a team I quickly became friends with, doing genuinely interesting and important research. Everybody was really supportive along the way, and I after completing the course I feel a much stronger scientist, and ready to move forward in my career with confidence."
