Medieval Resources at Nottingham

Nottingham is well supplied with a range of resources for medieval research.

• The Hallward Library has a good all-round teaching and research collection.
• The Institute for Name-Studies has a small, specialist library which may be consulted by scholars.
• The Department of Manuscripts and Special Collections has an outstanding collection of medieval manuscripts, as well as a range of medieval documents in their family and estate collections. It also has printed book collections of relevance to medieval studies, including the Eiríkur Benedikz Icelandic Collection and the East Midlands Collection .
• The University Museum also has relevant items in its collections.
