The University of Nottingham is a popular choice for international students, with over 6000 students coming from more than 130 different countries. The University is world-renowned for its academic and research excellence. International students are an important part of the University’s culture and success, and are offered a strong support network from within the University. Some of the activities on offer by our International Office include organised trips across the UK for International and EU students and their friends. Free English language classes for partners of International and EU students as part of the University’s support for non UK students and their families is also available. Events for children include social activities for children of International and EU students including an annual Christmas party and Easter craft event. These events contribute to helping children make new friends and experience various aspects of British culture. The School recently became involved with some of our international students in the organisation of a very successful social event to celebrate Eid. This brought together students and staff from other Schools. In the School of Molecular Medical Sciences, we recruit a number of international students to our postgraduate training programmes each year, and currently have approximately 75 research students within our School alone. Successful applicants to the School will require funding to cover both fees and living expenses. You can view the fee structure online.
