Publications

The Department of Music is one of the most distinguished centres for music research in the country, a fact recognised by the 2008 Research Assessment Exercise where 85 per cent of the Department’s research was rated as ‘world-leading’ and ‘internationally excellent’.

This grade reflects the high quality of research undertaken within the Department. Every member of staff is active in research and their work is widely disseminated by major academic publishers and journals and in international performances (in the case of composition).

Below you will find a selection of staff book publications. Click on the book title to enlarge the image  and view further details. Details of other publications, including journal articles, scholarly editions and compositions, may be found on individual staff research pages.
