The University-Wide Open Days take place each year in June and September and are designed to give you the opportunity to see The University of Nottingham prior to completing your UCAS form. During the Open Days there are talks and tours offering information specific to the University as well as advice on many aspects of university life, which will be of benefit to you wherever you decide to study.
Natural Sciences participates in these events and you will have the opportunity to meet staff and current students as well as attend a talk about Natural Sciences at Nottingham. In addition there will be events running in each of the involved Schools giving you the opportunity to find out more about each of the subjects in pathways you are interested in.
If you are not able to visit the campus on one of the open days, we recommend that you book a place on one of the University's Mini Open Days. These are a good opportunity to visit the University and include a chat with a member of Natural Sciences staff as well as a talk on finance, accommodation, student life and a campus tour.

If you are offered a place to study Natural Sciences at the University of Nottingham then you will receive an invitation to attend one of our UCAS Visit Days. These days usually take place in February, March and April and aim to provide you with the information you need to decide whether Nottingham is the right place for you. These days should be treated very much as a fact-finding expedition, to find out as much as you want to know about the Course, the University and the City.
The day starts with general talks about studying at university including finance, accommodation and student life. Following this there will be a presentation about the Natural Sciences programme itself which will provide you with more information about the course and what you will study.
Prospective students and accompanying guests are then invited to attend a buffet lunch with members of Natural Sciences staff and current students and find out more about what it is like to study at Nottingham. After lunch there are student-led tours of teaching facilities, labs, library and key parts of campus including the chance to visit catered accommodation. Visitors are are able to visit self-catered accommodation or the sports facilities during their visit if they want.
The university had a very friendly atmosphere. All the people that I talked to seemed to be very passionate about their subjects and the lecturers were keen to help.
I really liked the Natural Sciences course director, who was enthusiastic and interesting, I like the feel of the University campus as well as accommodation and recreation facilities.
Its the only institution in the country that I've found that offers the natural sciences course with my subject choices and I really liked the campus including the departments I saw, the accommodation and the sports centre.
