Dr L D Bennett

Dr Bennett is involved in researching transport systems and acts as the the Chair of the transport systems research group within the NCI.

Dr N Dodd

Dr Dodd is mainly involved wityh research work within the Coast, Estuaries and Rivers group. He is also a member of the simulation systems group.

Dr K S Elliott

Dr Elliott has a long background in the analysis of precast concrete structures and is a key member of many professional commitees and groups. He has over 10 years of reearch work involving precast concrete structures, with particular regard to the joints and connections employed in such structures. His own webpage can be found here. Dr Elliott is the Chair of the prefabrication and structural systems groups.

Dr M Gillie

Dr Gillie has recently joined the department from working in Industry. His research interests include the behaviour of structures in fire silos and shell structures.

Dr M J Mawdesley

Dr Mawdesley is the director of the NCI. His research work is in the area of construction management, particularly in the areas of planning and control, productivity and risk management. He has wide experience in the modelling, simulation and automation of various construction processes or systems. Dr Mawdesley is the Chair of the risk and infrastructure systems groups within the NCI. He is also a member of the simulation, prefabrication and transport systems groups.

Dr H P Morvan

Dr Morvan is specialised in Computational Fluid Dynamics and is a former CFX consultant. His experience lies in numerical techniques as well as in the physics of turbulent, multiphase and chemically-reacting flows; particularly in the context of environmental water and air flows.

Dr J S Owen

Dr Owen main research interests lie in the area of structural systems. A major element of recent work has been concerned with the structural health monitoring of bridges. He is a member of the structural systems, wind engineering systems and simulation systems groups.

Prof D E Reeve

Professor Reeve's research interests are in the realm of the Coast, Rivers and Estuaries group of which he is the chair. He is widely published in the field of environmental fluid mechanics and is involved in a number of research projects including collaboration with other international academic institutions. His main area of research is in the field of coastal engineering including the use of statistical and historical data to predict coastal changes.

Professor Reeve is also a member of the simulation systems group and the risk systems group. Further details of his research interests and background can be found on his departmental webpage

Dr W Tizani

Dr Tizani's research interests are mainly within the simulation of structural systems and he is the chair of the simulation systems group within the NCI. His departmental webpage can be found here, including a more comprehensive list of his research and teaching interests.

Dr N G Wright

Dr Wright has extensive experience of the computer simulation of fluid flows. His main applications of this are in wind engineering, NVA management and water engineering. He is a member of the Coast, Rivers and Estuary Group and chairs the Wind Engineering Systems Group.
