The Neuronal Networks Electrophysiology Research Laboratory within the School of Biomedical Sciences is primarily a dedicated multiple single-neurone recording electrophysiology laboratory established in 1996 originally for monolayer neuronal cultures, which has now evolved to encompass in vitro organotypic brain slice, conventional brain slice cultures and in vivo (anaesthetised / awake-behaving preparations) studies.
