Muhammad Asyran Che Amat

PhD Student, Faculty of Engineering



After completing his master's degree at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia in 2006, Asyran worked as a hydrography surveyor at Fugro Geodetic (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd. He has involved in various positioning works for offshore industry e.g seismic survey; pipeline route survey and installation; anchor positioning for rig and barge; platform installation; positioning for Remote Operated Vehicle (ROV) etc. Since December 2007, he works at the Department of Survey and Mapping Malaysia (JUPEM).

Expertise Summary

Asyran has involved in few projects conducted by JUPEM such as establishing and maintaining of geodetic infrastructures; monitoring of active faults; and Common Border Datum Reference Frame. These projects among others deal with planning, data acquisition, processing and analysis. His areas of interest are in GNSS and InSAR.

Research Summary

Regional deformation analysis using Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) and Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar (InSAR).
