Biography

As a Registered Children's Nurse I have spent many years working with children and their families within Nottingham Children's Hospital. I specialized in paediatric oncology with an interest in communication and Family Centred Care. Supporting students in practice as a mentor fired my enthusiasm for teaching and learning, this led to me taking the Practice Teacher in Education Course and finally a Masters in Education. I left nursing practice to work within Nottingham University, School of Nursing where I have maintained and developed sustainable links between theory and practice areas.

I am also a reviewer for Nurse Education Today
