Biography

My remit in the school is to teach public health/health promotion and nursing studies with a particular interest in cancer support and teaching and learning in the practice setting. I have had some experience in Patient and Public Involvement activities working with the Mid Trent Cancer Network Patient and Public Partnership and Nottingham Cancer Forum in early 2000's.I now work with a cancer support group to maintain client/carer contact. I have worked as a clinical teacher / lecturer/course director since 1985 in a variety of educational institutions delivering pre and post registration nursing education. My clinical nursing experience has been mainly in surgical nursing - ENT/Head and Neck Nursing (mainly in the UK but also in America in the early 1970's).
