Biography

I qualified as a nurse in 1975 and worked in a variety of acute and rehabilitation settings before working as a clinical teacher and subsequently joining the University of Nottingham as a lecturer and then as an associate professor.

Expertise Summary

My expertise is focused on practice learning including mentor support, student support and the teaching of clinical skills. I also chair the national Practice Learning Partnership Group which meets three times a year in London.

Teaching on the Diploma/BSc in nursing.

Much of my teaching is in clinical practice with service partners to update on education issues pertaining to practice learning
