Biography

Louise Brereton qualified as an Registered General Nurse and has worked in nurse education since 1988. Her PhD was a longitudinal study of the needs of family carers post stroke. She has completed studies examining leg ulcer management and hospital environments for older adults at the end of life. Louise is based at the Lincoln centre and is module leader for the Portfolio 2 module and the Care Delivery and Management module with a focus on teaching in semester 6. Louise is the educational link for a number of clinical areas within Lincolnshire.

Teaching Summary

Louise has a number of teaching interests and is currently working on the Portfolio 1& 2, Care Delivery and Management 2 and Evidence Based Practice modules.

Louise of the Extended Programme Leader and the Module Leader for the Care Delivery and Management 2 modules. She has a number of personal students and supervises BSc and Masters dissertations. Louise is a member of the Lincoln Acute Inpatient Practice Learning Team (PLT).
