Nursing student awarded for supporting the ambulance service

John Fenn a nursing student from our Lincoln Education Centre recently received an award for supporting the East Midlands Ambulance Service during some of the worst weather in living memory. The award was a combination award from the front line Ambulance services and St John ambulance. Volunteers where put forward for the certificate of exceptional service recognition, for the work they did over the harsh winter weather 2010/2011.

John (third from the left) said “I was put forward because I did shifts on Lincolnshire’s 4X4 ambulance getting to people that road ambulances couldn’t get to and getting them to hospital/nursing homes and any other requirements that where asked by the ambulance service. The awards were presented at the House of Lords with a tour of Westminster and House of Lords as well.”
