Centres for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETLs) at the University of Nottingham

The Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE) set up, in January 2005 (press release), some 74 Centres for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETLs) in a wide range of topic areas, hosted by UKHE institutions. This is a major programme costing over £300 million over 5 years. The University of Nottingham hosts, or is a major partner in, four CETLs:

The School of Nursing, Midwifery & Physiotherapy e-learning team is extensively involved with the RLO-CETL, with two of its members directly funded by the RLO-CETL, and another member partially 'bought-out' for RLO-CETL work.
