Resource Discovery System

The Resource Discovery System is a large and growing contributory database of digital resources for teaching staff in the whole Faculty of Medicine. The RDS contains not just images, but documents, presentations, RLOs, websites, audio and video clips, and kitchen sinks. All the database resources have been contributed by staff members in the Medical School and the School of Nursing & Midwifery, and staff are strongly encouraged to

Access to the RDS

To obtain a password, please e-mail kay.akhter@nottingham.ac.uk with the following information, and using RES DIS PASS as the subject (Kay uses the subject line to filter the e-mails):

In due course you will receive an automated welcome email giving you your password. Access to this system will only be provided to School of Nursing staff (University School of Nursing lecturers or identified teaching staff for Nursing and support staff).

Technicalities

The Resource Discovery System is based on an extended version of Dublin Core metadata to ensure compatibility with future developments and uses the controlled vocabulary of Medical Subject Headings (MeSH).
