RLO Templates: Diagram Labeller/Explorer
This is a template that allows tutors to simply and quickly create labelling exercises or other activities based on diagram exploration. A diagram is added to the template and then a series of labels are created and matched to the diagram. For each label additional information can then be added. The following activities are then created for the learner, but the tutor can choose which should be made available:
- Labelling activity. Here the learner must correctly link the labels to the diagram. Once a label is correctly linked additional information relating to the labelled area can then be released. The completed labelled diagram can be printed. Example: Structures of the Brain
- Explore. Here the learner can move around the diagram. When they find an area highlighted by the tutor information about that area is shown. Example: Cross-infection
- Show me. This activity steps the learner through the various parts of a diagram that the tutor has selected and provides information about each. Example: Decubitus ulcers
- MCQ – the learner is presented with an area of the diagram and must select the correct label for that area. Example: Structures of the Brain
