Resources - Virtual Portfolios
The Virtual Portfolios on this page are an aid to students and mentors in assembling a portfolio of evidence for assessment. They presume that you already know what a portfolio is, and what it's for. If you're not sure of the purpose of portfolios, and why you need to compile them, please look at the RLO entitled "An introduction to portfolios and their uses".
Diploma VP
This Virtual Portfolio is aimed at students in pre-registration courses, and can help you organise and manage your portfolio, with advice on what to include and examples of evidence to help you achieve the placement outcomes (in common foundation programme) and standards of proficiency (in branch). If you have any queries or problems with the Diploma VP content, please email Janet Barker.

Troubleshooting
The VPs require the Adobe Flash Player to run. This is installed on most PCs these days, but if you have trouble running the VPs it's possible that it's not installed on your PC, so please go to the Adobe Flash Player download page and install the player from there, then try the VPs again.
E-Portfolios
Note that the Virtual Portfolios are e-learning applications, not e-portfolios. You can't use them to generate portfolios - rather, they're the equivalent of 'help files' to educate you on portfolios and their uses.
Concept and genesis
Jennifer Dandrea, of the School's Mansfield Centre, developed the Virtual Portfolio concept and design.
