Research and Knowledge Transfer

The School of Nursing, Midwifery and Physiotherapy has a strong Research and Knowledge Transfer focus and is ranked as the 5th best School in the UK for the quality of our Research in Nursing and Midwifery in terms of research power in the national Research Assessment Exercise in 2008.

There are currently five research groups:

• Supportive, Palliative and End of Life Care
• Mental Health
• Child, Maternal and Sexual Health
• Education and Technology for Health
• Neurological and Musculoskeletal Rehabilitation
