Don't forget about his heart

Then two weeks later we took our growing baby for a cardiac scan. They also told us at 17 weeks he had a partial AVSD (Atrioventricular Septal Defect), but that didn’t seem to matter down's syndrome kept playing in my mind. The hospital service were fantastic: they gave clear information in words we could understand and also reassured us this was so common in babies like our son that it could be fixed!
