Blood Pressure

This unit is also used when we measure blood pressure.

Because the heart contracts and relaxes intermittently, there are two values for blood pressure. In the adult these figures are typically quoted as being 120 and 80 mmHg respectively.

We say 120 over 80 and record the values on patient observation charts.
