Research in the Department of Philosophy
The Department of Philosophy is a strong research department being currently ranked by the independent Philosophical Gourmet Report equal ninth overall among UK philosophy departments. We are also ranked joint 4th in the world for Philosophy of Art, and joint 8th in the world for Metaphysics.
We are home to the major journal, Analysis and number among our faculty an editor of Mind and Language and two members of the editorial board of the Australasian Journal of Philosophy.
