Work Experience Application Form
Most of our placements are for year 10/11, and are available for people who want to follow a career in science, engineering or technology, whether or not this will involve going to University. For the academic year 2011/2012 we are offering work experience for the following dates:
28th May to 1st June 2012
11th to 15th June 2012
9th to 13th July 2012
Year 12/13 placements are extremely limited and are only offered to people who intend to take degrees in physics.
UNFORTUNATELY DUE TO EXTREMELY HIGH DEMAND WE HAVE NO MORE VACANCIES FOR YEAR 12/13 IN ACADEMIC YEAR 2011-2012.
However if you are interested in following a career in physics we have produced a LIST OF IDEAS that you might pursue.
If you are interested in doing work experience with us please apply using the form below.
The number of work experience places is limited and priority will be given to people who:

Write a good explanation of why they want to do work experience with us (below)

Attend schools or colleges with a below-average GCSE or A-level score

Are in or have ever been in Local Authority care

Are considered sufficiently responsible to work in our technical environment by their science teacher (we will contact your science teacher)

Are taking or are intending to take physics at GCSE (year 10-11) or A-level (year 12-13)
If you do not fulfil all of these categories please apply anyway as we will fill any remaining places using a lottery system.
